The new Banner Web is LIVE! As you may have noticed the updated platform offers a new interface that improves the user experience through accessibility and enhanced usability. When logging in to the new Banner Web for the first time each semester, you will be prompted to provide emergency contact information and complete action items. The emergency contact information is for a number you can be contacted in case of an emergency. Below is a reference guide and tutorials to assist you with navigating the new interface.

Registration Holds
If you did not register by the deadline or were dropped for non-payment and were not able to complete the reinstatement process by the deadline , you may still have a hold preventing you from registering. The types of holds and options for registration clearance are:
- FC- Financial Clearance: Student must obtain “hold release” from Student Financial Services to begin the registration process
- DP- Drop Non-Payment: Student must obtain “hold release” from Student Financial Services to begin the registration process
Cross Registration
Cross registration within the Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUCC) is now open for Morehouse traditional program students through Tuesday, August 22nd . If you were registered in a cross registration placeholder course, it was dropped from your schedule yesterday. As shared back in May, reserved seats are allocated for each participating institution’s cross registration sections. Once the reserved seat limit has been reached approved students will need to select another section or wait to see if a reserved seat will become available later. An approval to register for a cross registered course will not guarantee a seat in the section. If a course is not listed, no reserved seats were allocated by the instructor.
Students in a collaborative program (Art, Education, Dance, and Theatre and Performance/Drama) offered in conjunction with Spelman College are able to register via Banner Web for these courses without a permit code. You do not need to submit a request for a course if you are enrolled in one of these majors or minors. You must submit a request for a course outside of one of the majors or minors listed.
The steps to request an AUCC cross-registration course for students enrolled in a non-collaborative program are:
- Review the list of available courses in Banner Web or via the Dynamic Schedule. Clark Atlanta University courses appear with the leading C for the subject code (CAU) and Spelman courses appear with a leading S for the subject code (Spelman). These courses also have the Cross Reg class attribute. Again, if a course is not listed, no reserved seats were allocated by the instructor.
- Complete the Morehouse Cross-Registration Request Form found in Banner Web.
- Once submitted, the form will route to the course department chair for approval.
- If approved, the Office of Records and Registration will add the cross registration permit code and notify you.
- If denied, you will receive an email notifying you the request has been denied along with the reason.
- After the cross registration permit code has been added login to Banner Web and register for the approved course(s) if space is still available before the last day to add.
- Once you have registered for the course via Banner Web, your name will be sent to the host institution to grant access to the learning management system(LMS). This step can take up to 5 business days to gain access to the host institution LMS.
Dropping Courses
You are responsible for dropping courses in which you no longer wish to be enrolled. Students must drop classes before the withdrawal period begins on Wednesday, August 23rd (Traditional)/Friday, August 18th (Online) or withdraw during the withdrawal period for each semester in order to receive a credit for refundable tuition charges based on the refund schedule .
- If a course(s) is dropped by the end of add/drop, charges will not be incurred and the course(s) will not appear on your transcript.
- After add/drop concludes, students withdrawing from the college are charged tuition and fees based on the refund schedule and the courses will be listed on your transcript as a withdrawal(s).
Prerequisites
Some courses require that you have earned a minimum grade in a prerequisites course. You may have been able to register for the course simply by being enrolled in the prerequisite even though final grades had not been posted. However, to automatically remain in the course, you must have met the minimum required grade for the course once grades were posted or your registration for the course has been dropped. This process will continue until the last day to add and drop.
If one of your courses is dropped, you will need to select another course or request an override from the instructor to re-register for the course. Only the primary instructor of the course is able to grant an override for registration errors. Once the override has been entered students must return to Banner Web and register for the course before the last day to add.
