How do I waive my student health insurance fee?

All traditional full-time students enrolled at Morehouse College are required to have health insurance coverage. Each term, your student account will be automatically charged for the Morehouse College student health insurance plan.

If you already have health insurance, such as through a parent’s plan, you may opt-out by waiving Morehouse College’s coverage—provided your current policy meets all United Healthcare requirements.

• Waiving Coverage: If your existing health insurance meets the necessary United Healthcare requirements, you can waive Morehouse College’s student health insurance.
• Keeping Coverage: If you choose to keep the Morehouse College student health insurance, please confirm your enrollment in the plan as soon as possible.
• Important for Athletes: All Morehouse College athletes are required to enroll in the Morehouse College Health Insurance Plan, regardless of other coverage. Athletes cannot waive the College’s insurance plan.

** Students will see a health insurance charge for the fall and Spring semesters. The per term charge will appear on your account as stated above. New Students are the only students eligible to waive their health insurance in the Spring semester

** Students needing an insurance card before September 6th, must log into the insurance portal and opt-in the insurance plan and print out their new insurance card. You may also contact our provider for assistance. 

How to Waive or Enroll

• Log in to the Portal https://studentcenter.uhcsr.com/morehouse
• Enter your Morehouse ID starting with M00XXXXXX
• Click the Waive or the Enroll link.
• Scroll down and click the blue button.
• Provide the information requested in the form.
  • Answer the Waiver eligibility questions.
  • Enter your Health Insurance Information
  • Submit copies of your Insurance Card front/back
• Wait 24 hours to review your student account for
